Billing Private Insurance
If you have health insurance, you will be asked
to sign a consent form allowing the providers who work with your child
to bill the insurance company for reimbursement of services.
First Steps covers the
cost of all insurance copayments and deductibles. Even if you receive
Explanation of Benefits letter from your insurance company showing a
co-pay or deductible is owed, you do not owe a deductible.
you do not allow the billing of your insurance, the only services that
you will receive are the services at no cost (service coordination,
screening, evaluation and assessment, IFSP development and the
implementation of Parent’s Rights).
